Position Assessment
During the months of September and October, I prioritized Homecoming. The week of September 13, class sign ups were held. Through the use of a google form and QR code’s seniors were allowed to sign up for homecoming committees. During that same week we made purchase orders for homecoming. The items purchased were decorations, supplies and spirit items, in preparation for homecoming. Throughout this week practices for the lip sync were held as the Night Talky was on September 23. Practice was held every day and even the day of the Night Rally, to make sure choreography was nailed down. The seniors took 1st place in the Lip-Sync opening up the pathway to future success. Then the PVC Pipe Poster, Float, and window were worked on every day after the Night Rally, with the help of classmates who signed up. Taking 1st in every event except for the float, we won homecoming overall. The class spirit was also at its best with seniors taking 1st in dress up days almost every day. During these months I also sold tickets to Cool Hand Lukes for a fundraiser for the class with my group. Our group sold all of our tickets and even had to get extra to sell. I also have been working with my Senior Officer Team to pass out senior class merch. Merchandise arrived before the other classes, because of the black color used, and we immediately took inventory to hand them out as soon as possible. We distribute class merch during lunch and after school in the student store, and again a week later. With only 7 students left to get their merch we'll pass them out to them during 4th period as soon as possible. I also helped the ASB team with the Back To School Dance, as the dance was rescheduled to the month of September because of air quality issues. The dance was a huge success and had little to clean up. In the future, I plan on working with my officer team for Graduation, specifically Cap & Gowns, for all the seniors. I also plan on working on Dude Be Nice which will occur in the near future.
Standing Committee
I am currently in Link Crew but at this time Link Crew has not done any events. So I have not participated in a Standing Committee at this time.
Special Committee
At this time I was on the coronation committee. In the coronation committee I was responsible for risers and passing out boxes to the Miss Royals. My first time doing this I couldn't help but be excited.
Mentorship Evaluation/Completion at time of Meeting
My mentorship partner is Gabby M, and I have been helping her with anything she asks. She is the type of person to ask questions and I will always answer the questions to the best of my ability. Even if I don't know the answer I will search for the answer. We ate lunch together and went to Coffee House, and talked about school and our lives. In a way to get to know one another I can’t wait to bond further with her.
Concerns
At this time I have no concerns, but I do hope that what I deem normal is taught to the underclassmen. Seeing them lost with how to do things I helped them as quickly as I could, but only to an extent because of how hectic homecoming was.
Positive Comment
To all the freshmen, It only goes up from here. Though there will be more struggle, it is a learning process and you all are doing great. From what I’ve witnessed the freshmen are doing great with hiccups here and there.
Change
I would like for there to be a tutorial session for the newbies in the program that don’t know what needs to be done. Yes it is part of the learning process, but when a class does not know what a “Spirit Box” is then there needs to be some change made.
My impact
A little more stressed, I still maintain a positive attitude and give energy to others. I try to help others when needed and I impact the school by spreading a positive attitude.
