January
Bryan Ochoa
Senior Class Administrative Assistant
February 9, 2022
Position Assessment
During the month of January my main priority was WinterFest. Being the senior administrative assistant, it was my responsibility to make sure that all items were ordered correctly, and arrived on time. I was also responsible for the procedure from which we ended up receiving 100% for. Being a senior officer, WinterFest was our responsibility and I made sure that our class did incredibly well in the competitions. With 4 different competitions for a 4 day week, the Seniors were able to take first place overall. “Mathletes vs Athletes” is the true superior “Opposite.” Going forwards the Seniors are progressing with events that pertain to the end of the year. This includes Graduation, Senior Gift, and Graduation trip/night. In specifics to Senior Gift, all of our plans were approved by Rangel however a proper budget needs to be made for the Senior Gift, as well as which plan to go forward with.
Standing Committee
As a part of the Link Crew committee we have 8th grade day coming up, but as a senior there is no definite responsibility I need to partake in
Special Committee
At this time I took no part in any special committee except for the Senior planning of overall Winterfest
Mentorship Evaluation/Completion at time of Meeting
I have not communicated as much with my mentorship partner Gabby M, however I do not see that as a particular issue. We still have day-to-day discussions, however I am noticing that she does not have many questions. I can only see it as growth and look forward to her success.
Concerns
At the moment I do not have many concerns but I do hope that people's enthusiasm for elections, including the posters/flyers, is also put into the program and not just performative.
Positive Comment
Sending all my positivity to everyone planning on joining the program next year. Elections are always stressful and I hope that everyone maintains a healthy mindset.
Change
I would love change to happen in regards to the future attitude of the program. Elections are always full of empty promises and that includes class elections; I hope that people will commit to what they are doing.
My Impact
As the second semester makes all seniors lose motivation, having daily conversations will serve as an outlet. I love to have conversations with people about their future plans and what they would like to do. Second semester ultimately serves a way to confirms one's own ambitions.
