Sophomore Class Publicity Officer
Position Assessment
As Sophomore Class Publicity Officer it’s my job to spread the word out about events, activities, and other things. Bringing with Core Camp our leadership class has our 4 Core Principles that help us in becoming and being great leaders. Regarding Class T-Shirts we sold a lot. We’ve sold more than all the other classes, and people from other classes wanted to buy the Sophomore Class Shirt. We’ve sold around 100 shirts and are handing out shirts this Friday (September 6, 2019) during lunch. Our class had also ordered items for our spirit box which came in on September 4, 2019. We also made an Instagram account for our specific class of 2022. Hopefully by the end of the year more than half of the Class of 22 will follow the account . The account will be used for updates on class spirit, events, and stuff relating to the Class of 22. This year we are pulling all the stops to make sure we have a spirited class.
Standing Committee
I am not a part of any standing committee but I’m School is my second home and because of that I’m always glad to help anyone that needs help. Hopefully I’ll find a committee that best suits my abilities.
Special Committee
Elias is currently making a video about the student handbook. The video is not yet finished but he needs volunteers to be in the video. The Rally Committee did an excellent job for the Black Light Rally. It was well organized and people were doing what was asked of them. Major props to Natalie for running it so smoothly.
Concerns
I have no big concerns. The concerns I have mainly involve things Leadership can’t control. For example people going off campus and not wanting to pick up their class shirt. We can’t force people to do anything because at the end of the day it’s the student that makes the decisions.
Positive Comment
Everyone worked their hardest and our class accomplished a lot. We all worked together and did what was asked of us and did more than what was asked. We all had a genuine good time out of it and I genuinely am happy to be working with such terrific people.
Change
I wasn’t apart of Leadership last year so I can’t really notice change but our class spirit has changed for the better. People are dressing up and we got 3rd place for Class Spirit. Change in this case was for the better.
My Impact
I hope to have the positive impact people need. This year I want to show minorities that we are visible and we can have an impact. I want to improve myself as a person so help others more. I will always try my best to make people smile and that positivity can have a huge impact on people.
