Bryan Ochoa
Senior Class Administrative Assistant

Position Assessment
During the months of February and March I have continued to work with my fellow officers about the many events approaching our final season of the school year. The class gift, Senior Yearbook distribution, Senior Class meeting, Grateful Graduate, Baccalaureate, Grad Night Trip, Grad Night, College Reveal, and Graduation. Regarding Baccalaureate, name readers have been decided and confirmed. The student and staff member have been chosen and a meeting with Ms. Ochoa was had regarding the actual event. We have a baccalaureate schedule of baccalaureate and a pamphlet of what the event will be; the event will be held at One Church and the Senior Class does not pay for anything. A musical performance still needs to be decided however that will be discussed with Felver in the future. The class gift has been decided and the PO has been made, the purchase itself still needs to be made. The class gift has been decided as Yard Signs that will be displayed at the front of the school for every/most event we do at Ripon High. They are reusable and will be used in the far future. Some of the signs include, Homecoming, WinterFest, Welcome Back, etc. Senior Yearbook Distribution is set to happen on Thursday May 19. Work still needs to happen for this event, at this time Kona Ice still needs to be approved by Rangel. The Senior Class meeting was had, though I was not able to attend. I know it was successful. All seniors were able to learn information regarding the upcoming events specifically for them. Grateful Graduate, and College Reveal. The invitation to College Reveal has been made and regarding Grateful Graduate the deadline to send Morty the letter has passed. At this time seniors are presenting their grateful graduates. The Grad Night Trip is set to happen and there has been no cancellations or word of cancellation. The Disneyland trip has been the Senior Officers responsibility and we have been working with Mrs. Vasche for the trip. We finalized what food to give all 202 people, COSTCO muffins as well as water. 194 students and 8 staff members will be going on the trip. Grad Night has no involvement with the Senior Officers however was discussed during the Senior Class meeting. Graduation is the biggest upcoming event for the Seniors. Name readers are confirmed pending track, musical performances need to happen, and speeches as well. Much still needs to be done however details are being omitted because we are now in the month of April.
Standing Committee
My standing committee has been Link Crew and the seniors in leadership passed out food for 8th grade day. We served them food during lunch such as hamburgers and hotdogs.
Special Committee
I am part of the Student Appreciation committee which is a subgroup regarding the challenge. For the challenge and specifically Student Application Day, we will be having a lunchtime activity where Gracie and April will host some sort of jeopardy and the winners get a prize. Coclíes will be passed out during a morning or afternoon break, the cookies will be Famous Amos and Oreos from Costco. During the lunchtime activity otter pops will be passed out, 400 of them have been delivered and are currently sitting in Mortys freezer. Regarding the End of the Year Dance, the Popcorn Kernels have arrived, the Blue Raspberry and Cherry syrups for snow cones arrived, as well as the nozzles for them, the popcorn bags arrived, and many items for the different Committees have arrived. Publicity may start soon because of how soon approaching the dance is.
Mentorship Evaluation
My partner Gabby M and I have been getting along great. I’ve been able to see her branch off and make some friends that appreciate her and her ideals. I help her whenever she asks, and I have been helping her with the Portfolio layout and the little things that go with the website. When I say that she is able to accomplish tasks without my worrying, I believe she will do so well in the future.
Concerns
I don’t have too much of a concern however my concern is the challenge. Because there are things going on behind the scenes and most of it is waiting for the actual event so we can implement what we need to do. However it is 1 week after prom. My concern is mainly the time conflict with people's busy schedule, scheduling farewells was already a hassle.
Positive comment
I would like to give a positive comment to the Seniors as a whole. Despite such businesses we still push forth and as we approach graduation season I cannot help but look forward to our future. We are all going to different places but I know that we will thrive in our community and commit ourselves to being who we are.
Change
I’m pretty satisfied with things at the moment. If any big change were to occur I might get overwhelmed with how much is going on.
My impact
Though this ASB report is Feb/Mar, my farewells deserve to be mentioned. I think I created an impact on the people in the class that I spoke to. I don’t remember who I made cry but I hope people took what I said to heart. I’m going to love and miss everyone in the program.
